LH Increases China Traffic

Beginning July 1st, LH will resume daily flights to HKG (A340-300) and PVG (747-400) as well as five times a week to PEK (A340-300), from August 1st, the PEK flights will be daily as well, and for the winter schedule all flights are scheduled for the 747-400 again. However, LH says they are ready to increase capacity even more (MUC routes) "should customer demand be high enough" on short notice. Currently most FRA-China routes are full or overbooked.

So you mean in the winter, the 744 will return to HKG?

FRA-HKG will be a 747-400 no later than the Winter schedule, but if things are going on like in the last two weeks, I think the switch will take place earlier.
However, I dont know the current status of LH's fleet so I have no idea which aircraft are just available.

If things go well, the MUC-China flights (all A340-300) will be back in the winter as well.
